Grant Garverick grew up in the Galion, Ohio area. He is a 1981 graduate of Galion High School, a 1985 graduate of Ohio State University (B.A. with honors), and 1988 graduate of the Ohio State University College of Law (J.D.).
His law practice includes wills and estates, estate planning, landlord-tenant disputes, personal injury, lawsuits, family law, divorce, dissolution, child custody and support, traffic law, criminal defense, and a number of other areas.
Grant was admitted to practice law in Ohio on November 7, 1988 and has been with our firm since then. He is a current member of the Ohio State Bar Association and the Crawford County Bar Association. Grant received the statewide 2002 Ohio State Bar Foundation Community Service Award for lawyers under 40 and also is a Life fellow of the Ohio State Bar Foundation.
He is currently a member of the local Elks Lodge No. 1191. He currently serves as a member of the Board of Trustees for the Galion-Crestline Area Chamber of Commerce. He is the Secretary for the Galion Community Education Foundation and has been since its inception. Grant has served as Treasurer of the Galion Chapter of the American Red Cross for 6 years, as a member of the Board of Directors for the Galion Center YMCA for 6 years and as a member of the Board of Directors for the Sara Beegle Day Care Center. Grant is currently serving his second four year term as a board member of Galion City Schools District and has been past president of the school board.
Grant's wife, Margaret, is a teacher for Mansfield City Schools. They have two daughters who are both Galion High School graduates. Grant enjoys playing golf and fishing, as well as spending time just relaxing at home. He is currently a member of Peace Lutheran Church. He was a coach for many years in the Galion Girls Summer Softball program
